Giovanni DiLeonardo's Mansion
The home of Giovanni DiLeonardo is a wonder to behold. Using his connections to the New York Labor Unions, Giovanni built himself a house to remember. The interior features beautifully paneled walls and floors laid with Carrara marble. There are four master suites, eight baths, guest apartments, a wine celler, staff quarters, and a solarium. Giovanni also has a private office where he holds meetings with his associates, and it is swept for bugs every day.
Every meal in the DiLeonardo household is served on porcelain plates and waterford crystral. Outside the mansion, is an olympic-sized swimming pool that is shaped like the island of Sicily, an English garden, and a manicured bocchi court. A long circular driveway leads to it's white-colonnaded portico entrance. An eight-foot-high brick fence encircles the grounds, and the main building is laced with electronic sensors and interior and rooftop burglar alarms. A private security company, owned and operated by one of Giovanni DiLeonardo's capos, monitors the alarm system and closed-circuit video cameras around the clock. At night, floodlights illuminate the approaches to the house and the exterior. For security reasons, most DiLeonardo mobsters, even when invited to Giovanni DiLeonardo's house, are barred from driving directly to the mansion's front door. All mafioso have to park their cars on a nearby street and then are picked up by Giovanni DiLeonardo's palace guard, who then chauffeur them into the gated compound.
