Serafina sighed and closed her eyes. She was too tired to argue with him.
"I dont know Gio..." She moaned and rolled over again. "You can sleep here if you want. Its your bed afterall."
She wasn't trying to be spiteful, but she hurt so much she couldnt bring herself to give him the forgivness he asked for.

Giovanni moaned and ran his hand through his hair, then he replied quietly "No Sera. It is our bed. This is our house. And those are our kids. If I wanted everything to myself, I would never have married at all. Please try to forgive me."

There was another long paused before Serafins sighed. Her voice remained cold.
"Alright Giovanni." She rolled over onto her back and looked at him, "I'll try. But it wont be tonight. It might not be for a good long time. Not until i'm sure you're not just saying this now to keep me happy until the next time I find out you're with another woman."
She rolled over again and closed her eyes, "I'm tired. Please let me sleep. We can talk more tomorrow..."

Giovanni nodded and laid down next to her, then he fell asleep. The next morning, he woke up early and cooked Serafina's favorite breakfast, and laid it all out on the table for her. He hoped she wouldn't be too angry at him, and they could continue their discussion.

Serafina didnt wake up until it was almost noon. Her body just didnt want to deal with life.
She felt a hang over and she moaned as she rolled in bed, the light hurting her eyes.
She felt movment in her stomach and was relieved that she hadnt killed the child. For a moment she lay on her back, traicing her fingers over the small bump there before she managed to get up and pull on a robe.
Thinking perhaps she'd need to find her sons and let them know everything was alright, she smelled something good and followed the smell to the kitchen...

Giovanni smiled when he saw Serafina enter the kitchen and he showed her the food with a smile. "So" Giovanni began "Ready to continue our discussion?"
*Short but next one will be longer.

Serafina looked as horrible as she felt, but she stepped forward and sat down to eat the breakfast he'd made for her. She didnt say anything but nodded, her eyes downcast.
She was actually terrified inside. Dispite everything, she was afriad he was about to ask for a divorce, and she knew that was something she just couldnt bare...

Giovanni sat down and eyed her while she ate, then he got up again and retreaved a bottle of Scotch and a glass and poured himself a full glass. It wasn't even noon, but he didn't care, all he wanted was a Scotch. For him the best way to cure a hangover was to drink some more. He sat down with his glass and began to drink, then he set it down on the table and he leaned back in his chair, the legs coming off the ground, and staring up at the ceiling he asked seriously "Sera, what is happening to our marriage?"

Serafina stopped eating an clutched her hands in her lap, her head bowed. She was fearful that what she'd done the night before had been the straw that broke the camels back and now everything was ruined.
Her eyes filled with new tears all over again and she whimpered. "I dont know..." She quickly covered her face with her hands again, fearing the future of their family...

"I dont know..." Giovanni scoffed and continued to stare at the ceiling he replied "I'll tell you what happened. It was our lives, we have become farther apart over the years, I think prison changed me. And I think your father changed you. I don't know what you're thinking anymore. I don't know how your feeling." Then Giovanni quickly lowered his chair and picked up his glass of Scotch and drained it before pouring himself another glass.
*Don't worry, this won't lead to a divorce

Serafina whimpered and wiped at her eyes, her head bowed so low her hair hung around her face while she held her eyes in her hand. She had a piercing headache on top of all the trauma.
"I think you're right..." She managed to whimper with a nod.

Giovanni slammed his hand on the table and chucked his glass of Scotch at the wall, where it shattered. Then he said quietly "Sera, where do we go from here? Perhaps there is still some hope...?" Giovanni half hoped she would agree to this, but yet somewhere deep inside him, a tiny part of him hoped she would reject him and the marriage would be over.

Serafina winced and her head remained bowed. Finally she looked up at him. "What did I do to deserve this...? What have I done to make you so unhappy with me and our marriage?"

"What did I do to deserve this...? What have I done to make you so unhappy with me and our marriage?" Giovanni scoffed and leaned his chair back again, not looking at her. He coldly replied "Perhaps it was your meetings with Luciano. Yes, I know about that. And don't bother asking who told me, but just know that I know. The most recent at a church from what I hear. What's your anwser to that Sera? Huh?"
*Gio has connections, but if you would rather he not know about her meeting Luciano then let me know and I'll change it.

Serafina stared at him suddenly, her mouth dropping open in shock. It wasnt so much that he knew about her meetings, he was the fact that they offended him. "If it bothered you that I had coffee with someone who protects you and works for you, then why didnt you just say so!? Only a pure idiot would think that it gave you the right to go and have an affair!"
She stood up suddenly, "Just admit it Gio! You've gotten bored with me and wanted someone new and exciting. A new play toy."
