OOC: I'll be playing Luciano Santapaola in this thread as well.
While Giovanni was helping Frank dispose of the body, Luciano entered the house after Serafina. He studied her as she entered tried to regain her composure, and again when she was loking out the window. Luciano cleared his throat and said "You all right? You seem shaken up by what happened. I know who your father was, and that was something you should be used to. Then again," he added shrugging "nobody ever really gets used to seeing death. Your husband is stuck between a rock and a hard place, he needs to exert his authority over his underlings but at the same time must commit murders. He doesn't strike me as a man who enjoys killing, so don't hold it against him. I'm not sure if I ever introduced myself, but I'm Luciano Santapaola from Trapani, Sicily." Luciano extended his hand.

Serafina turned sharply and shut the curtains quickly, looking very much like she'd been caught doing something she shouldn’t have. She eyed the man with a critical eye while she turned up the stubborn chin that ran in her family.
As the man talked she frowned and turned to face him full on. "You have a lot of opinion for a finger man." She spoke softly but firmly, trying to make herself appear more annoyed than upset even though it was an act.
She ignored his hand and moved to walk past him, "And I suggest if you dont want to end up like your friend out there, you keep those opinions to yourself. My husband doesn’t like other men upholding his honor. He does it well on his own."

OOC: RPing Luciano again.
Luciano lowered his hand as she passed him, and then listened. And when he replied he spoke slowly and carefully "To be honest, Giovanni doesn't frighten me. His reputation, his ferocity, and his actions scare me. ALWAYS fear a man's actions and not the man himself. I am more than that" Luciano said, offended by her just calling him a finger man "in my native Sicily I ran my town of Trapani. The police wouldn't touch me, and remember Frank Ventresca is a man always plotting and scheming for his future. I would warn your husband of this." Luciano acted like he was angry, but in reality he was more fascinated with Serafina.

Turning back around near the doorway Serafina had to admit this mans words caught her off guard. It was a rare man in the mafia who admitted to be afraid of anything…
Letting her guard down, her expression softened while she listened to him speak. He seemed annoyed with her right back, calling her bluff. “What do you mean?” She finally said, “Are you suggesting Frank Ventresca might be plotting against my husband?”

OOC: RP'ing Luciano Again
"Perhaps I shouldn't have said anything. But between you and me, Frank Ventresca is a coniving rat. How do you think he knows the Falcone's are moving in on New York? Why would he not say anything to defend Fabrizio, that was because he knew about Fabrizio's connection with the Falcone's. Ventresca....if I had to make a decision, then yes, I would say he is plotting against Giovanni." Luciano finished, and gave Serafina an assuring smile.

Serafinas lips parted in surprise as she watched Luciano. What he did at that moment was practically unheard of. Not too many spoke out against Frank Vantresca even though most knew him to be a dirty rat.
It didnt cross her mind that Giovanni already knew all this.
"And why are you tell me this? Why not tell my husband yourself? If he knew you were loyal to him he would probably give you and your protection." She looked him over again, seeing him in a different light, "If you are looking for something from me then you can forget it. My husband has everything from my recently deceased fathers fortune..."

OOC: Once again RP'ing Luciano
"And why are you tell me this? Why not tell my husband yourself? If he knew you were loyal to him he would probably give you and your protection." Luciano smiled and raised his hand and said "Ahh, see that is where we reach a little snag. Giovanni trusts Frank Ventresca, and that's probably because they both go back a long way. Frank was born in Sicily, Francesco Ventresca, his family knew Giovanni's family. Old friendships like that do not die quickly. Besides, Frank has connections, about as many as Giovanni or Paolo Falcone. If I were to openly betray Frank, then I and my family would be dead. I don't fear death, but my wife and children, I do not want them dead."

“Hmm…” Serafina had to look away, pretending to be interested in a nearby vase atop a small table. She traced her finger delicately over the rim of it as she seemed to be in thought.
“Then you risk a lot to warn us.” She felt a little upset that he was married, it was somewhat inappropriate for them to be alone together like this. Even so, the prospects of what could happen (as unlikely as it was) excited her.
She looked back to him, her slate blue eyes watching him through thick eyelashes.
“Thank you.”

OOC: Luciano again
Luciano smiled at Serafina and replied softly "Your welcome. Listen if you ever need anything, help or otherwise, just let me know. Giovanni has a fiery temper though, just like his father and especially his brothers. I tried to avoid Carlo as much as I could, until Carlo's murder, and I still try to avoid Adriano. Those brothers could have rivaled Chicago's Genna Brothers in violence and brutality."
* Short, but I gotta go get ready since I'm going to be heading out soon.

Sarafina looked at him, touched by his offer. She rubbed her hands together rather nervously. Giovanni had never done anything to her, but as he became more and more in power she could see changes in him that scared her and she wondered if she might end up like her father someday.
But just thinking that made her feel like she was doing something against her husband.
"Thank you." She said again, "But I think I know my own husband better than you."

OOC: Luciano Again. Giovanni won't return for at least 2 or 3 more posts.
Luciano listened closely to Serafina, and then he became offended when she snapped at him "But I think I know my own husband better than you." Luciano frowned and said "I'm sorry, I meant no disrespect. I was merely telling you that....nevermind. Just forget it. Listen, just warn Giovanni about Frank. If you need me, you can usually find me at your husband's Ambassador Social Club."
*Gah! Why can't I stop posting short ones!!!

Instantly Serafina paniced. She hadnt meant to insult him. "Wait." She stepped towards him, "If you're right then does that mean I need to worry about my familys safety? I have two sons..."
)(OOC: Thats ok. I'll just punish you with an even shorter post.)(

OOC: Luciano Again. Giovanni will be back in 3 2 Posts.
Luciano shook his head and said "I don't think so. Frank isn't that stupid, even if, and this is an IF Frank manages to kill Giovanni, Adriano will retaliate, and not to mention all Giovanni's supporters. Frank will need to wait for the right moment to strike. For now, you are safe."
*Sorry this is short, but I am on a cell phone and my food just came.

Sarafina still didnt like this at all. It would have come eventually, but she should have known when Giovanni took on the mantle of Don that it would put his life, and possible hers and her sons lives.
Folding her arms she nodded, "Well thank you. Even if now i'm going to be worried for the rest of my life because of this, thanks." She turned then and started to walk out to the pool area. For some reason she really wanted to be near her husband so she could tell him this as soon as the opportunity came...

Luciano reached out his arm to gently stop her, and then he said "You musn't act as if anything is wrong. Frank is a very suspicious man, and he can sense deciet from a mile away. Listen to me, if you ever need anything, anything at all just let me know. Remember that, I am no more than a phone call away. Or you can find me at The Ambassador." Luciano smiled again, and he brushed Serafina's shoulder gently and he walked out leaving her there. Giovanni and Frank would be back at any moment, and he didn't want to be seen with Serafina.
