"Trust me, your husband takes care of his boys enough as a sign of his gratitude for their work." He said as he looked over to her. He knew what it was like for the wife of a mobster. His wife on many an occasion expressed how she felt about his line of work, that was part of the reason she moved her and the boys out to the Hamptons until things became more settled in the city. He knew it was for the best, but it was tearing away at their marriage.

Serafina looked back up to his face. “I believe that. He compensates well in everything he does.” She meant he usually made up his lack of affection with fine jewelry or a new dress. Although the night before they’d made up for a lot of lost time. Even spoke about having another child together…

"He's a very generous man, thats a good quality to have in business." He commented as he looked down at his shoes, getting caught up in his thoughts. He always thought well of Giovanni DiLeonardo and the way the treated people, he always came off as such a people person. Although when it came to matters of the family, Luc always believed that lavish gifts weren't always the way to deal with them..Although with everything going on recently it was getting difficult to deal with his line of work and seeing his family so gifts came in handy every now and then.

"I see. I wouldn’t know too much about the business. Being a woman and daughter of the Grillo legacy i'm not meant to be anything but arm candy and a trophy wife." She realized she might have said too much, and even though it was unlikely, she didnt want these words to get back to Giovanni...
"I'd better go." She said, standing up to leave even though she had no where to go. GianCarlo wouldnt be out of school yet and Angelo had gone to the park with his nanny and a few guards...

"I think by being a woman, your more important then you think..your not only the Grillo legacy but your also Giovanni's wife and the mother to his children. Women control a man's heart and are able to bend them to their will. The man might be the head, but the woman is the neck. And she can turn the head any way she wants."He said with a smile. When she stood he got up to his feet quickly, "Don't..I mean, come have coffee with me?" He suggested not wanting her to leave. He liked the sound of her voice and the things she said. She was beautiful and just to be near her he could tell why Giovanni married her.

Serafina hesitated for a long moment, her body turned to the side as she stood before Luciano. There was a war going on inside her head, parting of her saying she shouldnt go but return home and assume her responcibilities there. But another part urged her to go with Luciano. It had been some time since she'd been social at all apart from Giovannis dinner parties. She didnt have any girl friends or anything like that. She didnt have any friends at all in fact.
Finally she nodded, "Yes. But it would have to be somewhere local. And inside..."

"That's fine, where ever you want- in fact there is a cafe down the block, very private. Its two stories so you can even take the scarf off maybe." He said with a smile as he shoved his hands deep into his pockets and rocked back on he heels. He knew that if they were seen together some would take it out of context, and besides it was the don's wife going out for coffee with one of his men, was that all that bad? At least she would be with someone he trusted.

Serafina had forgotten all about the scarf, and when he mentioned it she touched it and her face blushed with embaressment. It wasnt flattering, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. If she'd known she'd run into someone like Luciano while out she wouldnt have put it on. Even so, she'd look silly to take it off now.
"Yes... perhaps." She said, struggling for words. She turned her back to him so he couldnt see how embaressed she was now and started to walk back to the back of the cathedral...

He followed her out of the pews and towards the back of the cathedral, " I kinda like the scarf, gives you that Audrey Hepburn look." He said with a smirk as he moved to walk next to her instead of behind. When they made it to the back he held one of the great doors open for her.

Serafina didnt say anything else. She just tilted her chin up and placed her black five hundred dollar sun glasses back on her face. She started to step expertly down the cathedral steps, her stilettos tapping again while her purse remained in the crook of her arm.
She didnt even look at Luciano as she headed in the direction of the mentioned coffee shop. She happened to pass it on her way there...
She actually was very nervous about someone spotting her with Luciano.

He pulled his Tom Ford aviators out of his inside suit pocket and smiled into the direction of the sun. He looked after Serafina and headed down the cathedral steps after her. He stayed a few steps behind her until they reached the cafe, French Roast. He got a head of her in the last steps to the door so he could hold it open for her. He didn't think much about being seen with Serafina DiLeonardo without her husband as much as he should of. He tried as hard as he could to keep the thought in the back of his mind so his time with her wasn't ruined with the thoughts of her husband. Once they reached the counter inside Luciano requested a table upstairs which was primarily used for music preformances. Once up the spiral staircase in the back there was a small stage upstairs and a few tables cluttered around the room, there table was near a window that had a great view of the avenue.

Serafina stepped inside the coffee shop when the door opened for her and she was surprised to see it looked nicer than she'd thought it would be. She walked up the steps to the second floor and found the little music room to be quite quaint. She'd never been anywhere like it before.
Without a word, she sat down at the table and took the scarf from her head and removed the pins that kept her hair up. Her black tresses fell down over her shoulder and she seemed focused on running her fingers through it and watching the avenue outside. Her thoughts weren’t as easily put off as Lucianos, and she couldnt help but worry what her husband would say or do if he found out. Part of her worried he would be angry, and a larger part worried he wouldnt even care...

He took the seat across from her as the waiter that sat them put menus in front of them. He thanked him and then moved his menu to the side and leaned forward on the table. He smiled across at her, "They make really good pastries and desserts here. Coffee isn't that bad either." He told her as he tried to make polite conversation.

“I’ll just have a latte.” Serafina said glancing over the menu before putting it to the side. She looked out the window again before she looked at Luciano. “So…” She said, not really knowing what she was going to say, “Tell me… more about yourself.”

"There isn't much to tell, I grew up in Sicily my father was in prison for most of my life and passed away when I was thirteen. He was in the mob business so it was only inevitable that I followed him into it...I didn't know what I was getting into then. I guess when your young the danger is much more exciting, and it was for me until I was caught when I was sixteen, i did two years...I mean after that I was in and out of that place for awhile before I came here. Thats almost around the time that I met Giovanni...There really isn't much more then that." He didn't get into the gruesome details of being a hitman or having to kill his own brother. Another thing he didn't mention was his wife. The waiter came and he ordered a latte for her and just a black coffee for him. "What about you?" He asked her.
