"No we dont have any links to them, they lived in the same area but thats all we know, we need more hard evidence for this bastard" He put his head in his hands and let out a short moan, he didnt what to do or what to say now, he was stumped he was to busy thinking about his son now, he opened his wallet and got out a photo, he gave it to Avery "Thats him, my son Jimmy"

Avery took the photo and looked at it, "He looks just like you." She really didn't carry a picture of her children because, it seem to become out dated to fast. Today was didferent though, she had recieved a letter from them with a new picture. She pulled from her pants pocket, "These are mine. Melena and Ethan." She handed the pictures to him, smiling as she did.

Leear smiled at her, poured a cup of coffee and handed it to her, taking the pictures of the kids "Their beautiful, mine live with their mum in Ohio, they think her current boyfriends their dad" He opened up the folder again and made it look like he was reading, he wasnt, he was just trying not to cry. It killed him everyday not seeing his son, he thaught about him all time, he wanted to see him again but the court case he lost ruled that out, luckily Hannah sent pictures and updates but that definatly wasnt good enough. Leear nodded at some people as they came through the door and kept on pretending to read.

Avery took the coffee but, didn't drink it. "Lets walk," she suggested, wanting to get some fresh air. She hated stand around in the FBI headquarters, when she could be out solving crime. She walked toward the door leading outside, she waited for him before walking outside. She looked around the lobby.

Leear walked out with her his hands in his pockets as he wondered what she was thinking "You ever been involved in the killing of a minor before?" He asked her worrying about her, he remembered his first case of a minor, it was only 2 years ago, the kid was 14 and he still rememberd those pictures vividly, it made him sick to think someone would do that, and she seemed for sensitive than him.

Avery looked at him, "No, it isn't my first. I had seen some in my NYPD year but, they were quite different from this one." She remembered her first case involving a minor, the pictures resonating everyday she got up to got to work. She had talked herself into not letting herself get attached to the victims, it made it easier to let go of a case. She stopped at the top of the stairs and watched Leear walked ahead of her.

Leear stopped walking and turned around to look at her "No matter how hard you try, you will become attached to the victims and the familys, it happens, we care, thats why were in this job." He carried on walking and wondering what to say to her next, he was having trouble thinking, his mind was wandering "You single?" He asked as he kept on walking.

Avery looked at him, "Not that that is any of your business but, yes, I am." She walked after another moment of standing at the top of the steps. She walked at a slowly pace, her mind stuck on her first case involving a minor. She hated it but, Leear was right, you couldn't not get attached to the victims or their families. She to a deep breath of the sweet new york air before catching up with Leear.

Leear looked at her and smiled "I was just asking" he laughed a little, it was obvious she wasnt over her first case involving a minor, he went to mention it but didnt bother, wasnt worth the hassle, people get over things in their own time "Wanna meet up for a cup of coffee when were both not working?" He asked her puttin his arm raround her to comfort her, she was obviously upset.

Avery smiled, "Are you asking me out?" She wasn't really in the mood to be going out with anyone, even if it was a friendly cup of coffee. When Leear placed and arm around her, she fought the instinct to move away. She looked at him, "Lets go get something to eat before starting the day, shall we?" She hadn't eating anything yet and the hunger was starting to set in.

Leear looked at her and smiled "Yeah I am" He smiled at her and nodded at her request of something to eat "Ill pay?" He looked at her and smiled softly "I know a great little place" If she said no to a cup of coffee that was fine, he wansnt sure about the rules of dating your partner though, were there rules? He walked along his arm around her while he counted the notes in his pocket, yeah he had enough.

Avery shook her head, "I suggested it, I'll pay. You can pick the place though. As for your question, I'll think about it." She smiled and slipped away from him, running down the remaining steps. She smiled waiting for him at then end of the steps. "I win," she said in a playful voice, hoping to lighten up the mood. She didn't want the day to go wasted as that of a gloomy one.

He laughed and followed her down the stairs "Follow me, its a great little place, its just round the corner from here" He laughed walking next too her wondering what to say next, he didnt want to bring up the case, no point they were getting no where fast with it anyway no point in talking about getting no where fast was there? Or youd be going nowhere while talking about going no where. He looked at her and smiled "So youll think about it. I got shot down in flames" He smiled nodding "Thanks for that" He added jokingly.

"I didn't mean it like that. I need to think because..." she said, cutting herself off. Last time she got involved with a co-worker, she ended up heart broken and a single mother. She shook it off and smiled, "It is just a cup of coffee, right? I guess it wouldn't hurt to go out to get a cup of coffee." Her smile faded a little but, traces were still lingering there. She thought of what to say next that wouldn't bring up any bad memories or bring tears into one's eyes. "Do you ask co-workers out often?" she asked, hoping it wasn't something she should no have asked.

He looked at her and laughed, hoping shed laugh back. (Sorry its short)
