Personality: Luciano is one person who is very stubborn. If he makes a decision he will stay to it, even if the outcome turns out he was wrong. Luciano is very intelligent, and unlike most people he does like to learn. Education is something that comes easy to Luciano, because of his habit of correcting and teaching others in their mistakes about history and when it comes to math, he was given the nickname “The Professor”. His other nickname is "Santo Luc" or Saint Luc, this being a sarcastic name given to him because of the mercy he shows to those he is sent to kill. He has been known to give them a last meal before killing them. Luciano is just someone who likes to learn as much as he can, or he use to. He is also a very creative person, he excels in his own creativity, and with him thats pulling hit jobs. Luciano is a very loyal person. He knows where he gets paid from and knows where his loyalties must be in order to protect his family. If theirs one thing that people describe Luciano as its sarcastic. He deals with everything through sarcasm, its just how he is. Luciano has always been on the cocky side, something that is very much of his father. It usually comes off as arrogance on his behalf but he just looks at it as if he’s really confident with himself. And most of the time he is. He has the confidence most people want just half of, which always played in his favor.
Appearence: Luciano is a well built man. He stands at 6'1 and had always been made fun of in his youth because of his lean build for such a tall guy. He runs regularly, keeping his muscles tone. His has his father's olive Sicilian tan skin but his mother almond brown eyes. He dresses always for business, even in the gritty hit jobs he always shows professionalism by wearing one of his many custom suits. The most he gets dressed down is a pair of jeans and a dress shirt when he spends time with his two young boys, on the rare occasion that he is home. Luciano stands tall and carries himself properly, never slouching or acting any less of the gentleman he has become over the years.
Background: Luciano was one of four children growing up in the small town of Trapani. He had two brothers and one sister. Of the small town in Sicily, it was a small agricultural based town in which he grew up on a farm. Luciano’s father was a well known Mafioso in Sicily, and by the time Luc’s two younger sisters were born, he father was put away in jail for good. Sebastian Santapaola worked for the Corleonesi family, and was a faithful soldier most of his life.
He took the fall to protect the underboss under the pretense that they would be able to cut a deal with the authorities and he would have his release and higher rank. The deal was cut, but for Sebastian’s death sentence. Vito Partiale, Corleonesi’s right hand man at the time, became a big part of Luciano and his family’s lives at the time. He took care of Sebastian’s widow and watched out for her children. Luciano couldn’t grasp the type of work his father had been involved in but knew from his mother that it was dangerous.
It wasn’t until the young boy was thirteen that he started his life of crime. His first arrest was for stealing vegetables and then later on arms trafficking. He spent two years in a youth detention center when he was sixteen and came out a man. He seemed as if he knew what direction he wanted to take his life. Luciano approached Partiale, hoping he would be the way in for Luc to become involved with the Corleonesi’s family business. He became a runner for Corleonesi and worked his way up until he proved worthy to be initiated as a soldier.
The first time he held a gun in his hand was to kill his own brother, it was the hardest thing he had ever done. His brother had been stealing from town funding as a government employee for some time and he had now found himself stuffing his pockets with Corleonesi money. Luciano was charged with manslaughter and at the age of 18 did six years in prison.
When he got out he fled to New York, he knew he had connections that could help him get his life back on track when he got there. He had spent his time incarcerated, self-educating himself. He loved to learn languages and by the time he left prison he could speak French, Spanish, English and his native Italian fluently. New York was a dangerous place for Luciano. He gained not only the enemies of his previous family affiliation but also gained plenty more as a freelance hit man.
He built up alliances with families in the area and was always on the payroll as a hired gun. When he was 24 he met Abela Tyler, a british art therapy major at NYU who frequented the same pub as he did with a group of friends once a week. He had been watching her for some time before finally making his move to ask her to dinner. After four months of rejections, Abela finally agreed to see him. Twelve months later, she graduated school, and they were married in the summer. Their two sons were born a year and a half later. The boys were named Enzo and Antonio. He was still young when he met Rosalina Solo they had a child together, a daughter named Isabella. It was to dangerous to take care of them at the time, with his job and the fact that he was having an affair with her, so he did the only thing he could, and regretted it.
He moved around from place to place, he worked Philly, Boston and even Chicago for the Genna brothers. His final move was back to New York, a move in which he was brought into contact with Frank Ventresca, a local gangster known to him through the DiLeonardo crime family who had Luc on the books. Ventresca was a man that Luc wouldn’t waste time with usually until he attempted to hire Luciano to take out Giovanni DiLeonardo. Choosing wisely, Luciano chose to make this known some how to DiLeonardo, thinking that it would help him later on as he tried to move up in the ranks. An old family from Sicily that had a problem with Luciano made sure that he knew they were serious. There was an "accident" in the house that his wife and two children were staying in. The house was destroyed and all three were lost in the fire. As the anger builds in Luciano, the more he is ready to take action against the Falcones and Cagglianos families.
RP Sample: He had no idea how long he had been sitting at the bar but he knew that someone kept filling his beer back up before it reached a certain level. He had a lot of shit on his mind, especially the fact that the gun he had stashed under the seat of his car out front had been most recently used to kill his brother. He pulled out his zippo and began playing with it, watching the fire appear and then die as he shut the lid. His mind was vast yet blank, nothing but a single image filled it and the resounding ringing left by a gun let off near close range to his ear. He remembered it perfectly, the feel of his knuckles against his jaw, the snap of his neck, even the clean up, it wasn't until he was on his way to get a drink that he thought about what he had done.He wasn't safe right now and needed to cool off and just wait. Wait for the inevitable cops to show up to arrest him, or wait until the bar closed and he was pushed out the door to face the world on his own.
