Serafina DiLeonardo
Name: Serafina DiLeonardo
Known Aliases: -none-
Play-By: Adriana Lima
Job: Stay at home mother
Convictions: Once for shop lifting when she was thirteen with a friend. Her father easily made the deals to get her out of having any consequences with the court. Still he made sure she’d “learn her lesson.” He didn’t hit her more than once, but he said he wanted her to remember never to disgrace the family with petty crime again. Hypocritical yes, but Sarafina never shop lifted again. Years later she purchased a much more expensive version of the little bracelet she’d tried to steal all those years ago, and she wears the golden bracelet almost every day.
Date of Birth: January 11, 1982
Place of Birth: Manhattan, New York
Age: 27
Relatives: Father, Alphonse "Allie Boy" Grillo
Mother, Giuliana Grillo
Spouse: Giovanni DiLeonardo
Children: GianCarlo DiLeonardo and Angelo DiLeonardo
Personality: Sarafina is a ticking time bomb. Its in her genes to be feisty and smart. She’s fiery and has a strong sense of survival. There was tension always in her childhood, and she learned to deal with that. Being a woman of her status and being the daughter of Alphonse Grillo she was destined to just be the cunning and pretty arm candy to whatever mobster her father saw fit. She does love Giovanni… at least she thinks she does. Deep down inside where she’d never admit it, not even to herself, she knows that she’s truly afraid of him as she was a little girl afraid of her father…
One thing is certain. She loves her boys and would do anything for them. She expects someday GianCarlo will take up the mantle as Don of the DiLeonardo Family.
When circumstances call for her to be the wife and gracious hostess, she puts on the façade flawlessly. Some might even say she is like a perfectly trained white tiger. She may look beautiful and behave perfectly, but her breeding is bound to show eventually.
Appearence:
A lady with long black hair, flawless cooper skin, deep blues eyes and curved cherry lips, Sarafina is very careful to keep up her appearance as the perfect woman. She wears the right assortment of clothing and accessories for the right occasions. Often she’s wearing a little golden wrist bracelet with encrusted diamonds. Its simple but its her favorite piece of jewelry.
Background: Serafina Grillo was born in Manhattan, New York to Alphonse "Allie Boy" Grillo, the Consigliere of the Righetti Crime Family (the Righetti Family is now the DiLeonardo Family), and Giuliana Grillo, a stay-at-home mother and third-generation Italian-American. Serafina's early life was one surrounded by wiseguys and constantly watching her father getting arrested. It was these experiences that would shape her later life. When Serafina was nine, her mother left the family after Alphonse had punched her in the face during a heated argument. Alphonse quickly remarried his long-time mistress, a cruel and vile woman named Sophia Roberts. Serafina despised and hated Sophia, but there was little she could do. When Serafina was sixteen, she met Giovanni DiLeonardo, a man she affectionatly called "Johnny Boy Adonis." Alphonse liked Giovanni, for he was a young Associate with the Righetti Family and showed Serafina the proper respect. When Serafina was nineteen in 2000, they were married in a lavish ceremony in Brooklyn. By late 2001, she had given birth to a son. They named him GianCarlo Massimo DiLeonardo. In 2006, after Giovanni had finished serving a five year sentence for Racketeering and Extorion, they resumed their relationship and in mid-2007, Serafina gave birth to a second child and second son. They named him Angelo Girolamo DiLeonardo. Serafina now lives at the DiLeonardo mansion with their two kids, and plays the hostess for any meeting with DiLeonardo mobsters.
RP Sample:
Sarafina tapped her perfectly manicured fingernails upon the cushioned steering wheel of her white Porsche. It actually wasn’t so much her car. It was the car she was permitted to drive. Her tapping grew faster and harder as the red light blared in front of her at the intersection. How long had it been? Ten minutes?!
She was never a patient woman, especially when she was in a hurry. Her palettes class down town begun in exactly ten minutes.
“Come on!” She growled a little, shifting against the leather seat. She wore a pale pink skirt and suit coat outfit that fit over her slender curves perfectly and she didn’t consider for a moment that she was all dressed up with really no where to go.
Tucking a loose strand of hair back behind her ear, Sarafina grunted and bit at her lip, careful to avoid the gloss. She’d stopped swearing a long time ago just because of her sons being in the car with her, but at the moment the curse words went round and round in her mind as she inwardly chewed out the light.
Finally it turned to a green and without any thought, her foot pounded the gas.
With a roar and a squeal of tires, the Porche took off through the intersection, cutting off another car and moving faster into the busy traffic of New York…
