Serafina was enjoying herself, even if she was completely horrified inside at the thought of her children knowing what she was up to.
It was the nanny day off. A Saturday. And Serafina decided to take the three of her children to central park. There was just one little catch. Her intentions were to kill two birds with one stone. She could entertain her children, while spending a little time with her lover…
She’d texted Luciano, telling him where she’d been at ten that morning, and now she sat on a bench, watching GianCarlo and Angelo attempt to fly a kite while she let little Donatella play on a blanket in the shade beside her.
Checking her watch, it was already ten thirty, and she wondered if Luciano couldn’t make it after all…

Luciano had woken up late to the sound of his phone vibrating and hitting the floor, he looked at the clock next to him and saw it was ten. He didn't think much of it until his phone rang again and it was a call from one of the union men checking in about a job he was hiring them for. He closed the call and saw that he had missed a text message from Serafina saying that her and the children were gonna be at the park...almost an hour ago. He jumped out of bed and started the shower up as he walked into the closet and grabbed some clothing. He got back in the shower and jumped as the cold water hit him, he turned the hot nozzle as quickly as he could but didn't care much since he was only worried about missing Serafina at the park. He got out, shivering from the cold shower, but wide awake as he changed and shaved. He hadn't shaved in a few days and was looking a bit dead. He had gotten his hair cut short the day before since it was getting warmer out and he wanted to stay cool, also because his longer hair reminded him of his now dead wife and how much she loved it. He cabbed it over to the park and walked around trying to find them. The sight of Giancarlo with a kite in his hand relieved him, thankful that they were still there. He walked over with his hands deep in his pockets. He was dressed rather casual, something he rarely did. He wore some dark jeans and a light blue button up shirt and his running shoes, the only sneakers he had. "Hey." He said as he walked over to where Serafina was sitting with the baby.

Serafina heard him and let out a small sigh of relief as she turned to see Luciano approaching. She noticed his hair cut and scooted over a bit, inviting him to sit beside her.
"I like your hair like that." She said, grinning and watching him. Her heart had picked up and she felt her cheeks already flush a little. Just seeing Luciano did things to her body that the sight of no one else did...
As he got closer she spoke quiter, "I was praying you would come... i've missed you."

"Thank you and I'm sorry that I was delayed." He said as he sat down next to her, "I had a late night and didn't hear when the phone rang." He explained to her as he looked out to the boys with the kite and then back to her, " I always miss you." He told her quietly. He didn't care who was around, he would take their time anyway he could get it, he wasn't picky when it came to her. He just liked being around her.

Serafina glanced at the boys as well, but the two wernt paying attention. She scooted up right beside Luciano and sighed, "Its alright. I'm just happy you're here now."
She touched the bandage on her hand lightly. She hadnt seen Luciano in far to long, and things had not been at all well at him. It was relaxing to be near him now...

He looked down at her and reached over to pick up her hand carefully, "What happened?" He asked curiously and a bit angry as he thought maybe something had happened with Giovanni. It killed him that she had been hurt and he couldn't have prevented it, no matter how small it was.

Serafina let out another soft sigh of relief. Here was the reaction she’d wanted from someone when she first cut her hand. Unfortunately it had happened with Gio. And Giovanni wasn’t the coddling kind of man.
“Its alright.” she lied, “I just cut my hand while slicing a grapefruit and had to get a few stitches.”

He lifted her hand to his lips and kissed the bandage before resting it back down,"As long as your okay now." He told her, having a bit of trouble believing she would be careless enough to have cut herself that way. He looked over at Donatella playing and smiled down at the small girl, "She looks like you." He said as he looked back up at Sera. He knew the children were around but that didn't make him not want to reach out and hold her any less.

Serafina watched him, her brain going in slow motion. She watched his lips, watched her hand lifted to his lips, and when he kissed it she closed her eyes for the moment and inwardly trembled. She felt as if she could feel it through the bandage.
Opening her eyes again, she saw he was looking at her daughter, who slept peacefully on her back in the shade.
“Yes…” Serafina said, “She’s going to grow up to be beautiful. I’m not sure if I should be glad about that or not…”
Having been beautiful her whole life, Serafina knew the curse it could be…

"Your gonna have a whole lot of trouble when the boys start noticing." He said with a smile down at the young girl. She had a beautiful family which made him miss his even more. He missed his two sons the most and the idea that they would never get to grow up and experience the great lives he knew they would have had.

Serafina frowned, "Oh I know it." She sighed and watched Donatella sleep for a moment before she looked up to Luciano and saw the sadness in his expression.
"Luciano?" She whispered, reaching over to gently touch his face. "Tell me your thoughts..."
