Cactus smiled warmly to herself as she inhaled deeply. She slowly exhaled and looked around for a moment. She could hear her personalities speaking. She bit her lip as she walked forward. Cactus manged to pursuade Omen to let her "off the leash" for tonight. She promised to not kill. Of course, if Morumi or Paranoia got in the way, she had no say.
Cactus walked along the street, hearing the metal move against her clothes as she walked. She smiled at the sound her feet made against the pavement. She dearly missed outside. she had been sleeping all day and found it fitting for her to be nocturnal....

Black wandered the streets, a little buzzed from the night of drinking, but by no means drunk. Being drunk was something that could cost him his life...with drunk dialing and all..oh god. He wandered down the street when he saw a girl on the same sidewalk. Black assumed she might be a prostitute, and although he was off duty, and tipsy, it seemed like a good idea at the time to stop this woman and get a feel for the situation.
"Hey, you. What's your name?" Eric asked, stopping in place beside the road.
Cactus stopped, hearing someone becoking to her. Don't answer to him! He might try to throw you in the slammer! She heard Paranoia snap at her in her head. Cactus stopped. shut up Paranoia she thought silently to her as she looked over at the man.
He seemed.....tipsy, but not drunk enough to be throwing up. Cactus smirked slightly. "What would be the name of you kind sire?" Perhaps if he was interesting enough, she'd speak to Omen about this man....

"Sire? Aw, you're goin' all medieval on me, huh?" Black chuckled, shrugging his shoulders. "Name's Eric. Most people call me Black though. Still never told me your name though...how are you doing tonight?"
She seemed different, but the alcohol sort of phased him out of thinking she was 'different'. He knew he shouldn't have even been talking to her, but what the hell? Not much mattered to the man that had his neck on the line 24/7. It was fine, he reassured himself. He probably wouldn't have to bust her for anything, especially after drinking.
"Its just the way I speak" Omen said softly. She wasn't ashamed, it was how Omen spoke sometimes. Cactus learned almost everything she knew from dear Omen. Her savior....Cactus shook her head slightly, forcing herself out of that temporary flash back that lasted for about ten seconds.
"People call me Cactus" She simply said. She was now about ten feet away from him. Her personalities were on edge, all eagerly gossiping and murmuring amongest themselves. It was common for girls....

"Cactus? Jesus..." he burst out laughing, tilting his head to the side as he looked her over. "Well, I'm intrigued now. A girl named Cactus, dressing like you do...must have a lot of crazy parties. huh?"
She spoke softly, it was almost delicate to Black's ears. He wasn't quite sure what to make of her, but it was definitely an entertaining encounter on a New York sidewalk. She seemed sweet enough, but obviously there was a darker side to a girl like her. A side he didn't think he wanted to provoke.
A dark, venomous smile crossed Cactus's lips. Paranoia was edging to get control. No, stay back, I can handle this.... Cactus thought silently to her other "half" as she as felt her body tense up for a moment before relaxing. She slowly exhaled, mainly to keep her personalities under control.
"I was in an asylum for the insane. I was not insane though. My husband merely wanted my money." It was the classic story she told over and over again. Cactus knew she was insane but didn't care for it. It only made her stronger in a sense.

Black's eyebrows raised in surprise, surprised she would admit such information to him. She looked like she might fit the part just fine, in any case.
"Is that right? Well...you're out now. Freedom's nice, isn't it? That's why ya don't marry...they'll lock you up any way they can before taking your money. Marriage just fucks you up...too dependent. Lose you independence when they decide what's best for you, right?"
Black didn't exactly believe what he said. It was just kind of his thing. He was nervous about commitment, and whenever it was mentioned in a conversation he was the first to talk down on it. That's why he never married. No, that's not true. He never married because he never felt anyone suited him. No one appropriate, anyways. Not with a drug habbit...addiction...like he had. There was no light at the end of the tunnel for him. Black knew he was better off alone.
Cactus shrugged. "Easy come, easy go right?" Her voice jumped to a child's sounding voice. Fuck no Paranoia! Stay out of this! Cactus growled at her personality mentaly. Paranoia just cackled childishly at her. Cactus let out an annoyed 'huff' sound in return.

"Aint that the truth," he said, looking down at his feet for a moment. "Sometimes it's easy come hard go though," Black said, not really noticing her change in voice. She was sort of sweet in her own way. He didn't want to hurt her. Maybe he was too into the drugs to cuff her. He seemed so much tolerant of bizarre behavior than he once was.
"So how long have you been out?" he asked, focusing his eyes on her as he tried to sober up a bit.
"Few hours. My sister let me out. She's crashin at home now" Ok, so maybe Omen wasn't her sister, but the two were close enough to pass as one. Besides, they were two bizares for one big murder party :3 -brain died x.X-

-xD just fine-
"Oh..." He managed, very uncertain about being around a woman that was just released from a mental hospital hours earlier.
"Your sister? Must be pretty close to her...haven't seen my sister in a couple years...she's doin' some good things with research, you know, uhh, marine biology. Don't understand most of it, but from what I hear she's really contributing to sea life or whatever," he said. At this point he wasn't sure why he was talking to her. Maybe he was drunk. Maybe he just wanted to talk to someone. It was a lonely fucking ride when you're someone that doesn't quite fit on either side of an occupation that demands perfection.
"Good you got a sister that looks out for ya," he ended, scrunching up his mouth.
Cactus couldn't help but chuckle. "My sister is a spy." She simply said. It was close enough. In truth, Omen was a hitwoman for hire. "My sister got me out of the hell "nut house" as many call it" She said with a small smile. -damn, cut short cause i gotta go now, nite! *blows kiss*-

"A spy?...what do you mean by that? Some kinda cold war vet?...Didn't break you out, did she? I'd be forced to handcuff you and send you downtown...See, I'm Lieutenant Black, NYPD," he said with a smirk.
"Of course it's not my business, so I'd be willing to let you off the hook. You seem like a girl that behaves herself...so you wont hear no complaints from me. Need a cab?"
"No. They let me go, for some odd reason. How do I know your not some kind of rapist?" Cactus asked matter of factly. She knew many people who posed as "Good" ones of the law. Ironically, it was them sometimes who did all the sick shit like drug dealing, prostitution, etc...
Her personalities were keeping quiet now, a relief for Cactus. For once she'd be able to think without having their voices to bug her about it. Morumi was being unaturally quiet though. Must be taking a nap..... she thought silently to herself.
