Serafina was terrified, and her stomach turned. Although it might have had something to do with the fact she was pregnant, although she didnt show yet.
She sat in a chair in a hallway while people in suits walked all around. Dressed in a tailored suit coat and pencil skirt, she looked like a pastel version of a working woman on richer because of the expensive jewelry she had on.
Her purse perched on her lap, she stared straight ahead, trying to look defiant instead of scared...
She was supposed to be renewing her vows with her husband the next day, and she hadnt want to ruin everything by telling him she'd been called by the FBI to come in for... for what? An interview or something. She didnt know what it was about but she expected it had to do with her husband.
No matter what, she would protect him. Even if she had to lie...

Avery walked down the hall, looking for a woman by the name Serafina DiLeonardo. She wasn't dressed in the attire that was usually associated with FBI agents. Sure, she was wearing dressier clothing but, it wasn't tailored coats and pressed pants. She was in a white button-up blouse and a pair of navy blue pin striped pants plus a pair of black, old fashioned heels.
She continued down the hall, pausing in front of a well dressed woman, who knew her accessories and how to use them wisely. "Serafina DiLeonardo?" she asked, looking at the woman, "I am Avery Bartlett, I talked to you on the phone." She offered her a hand to help her up from the stiff chair.

Serafina nodded and offered a polite smile as she took the womans hand and stood. “Yes.” She said simply, clutching her purse tightly in the hand that didn’t hold the purse. She blinked and her heart pounded with fear. She didn’t know what was about to happen, but she thought it was probably going to be awful. Although this woman did look like she might be nice…

Avery smiled back, "First off, I am not here to attack you or make you feel attacked. I just have a few questions and then you are free to go. Please follow me." She began to walk toward an office, it was rather neat. She stood by and empty, yet comfortable looking chair. "Please have a seat," she spoke softly, as she herself walked around the desk and sat in her own chair.
"I would like to talk to you about your family, your husband in particular," she said honestly to Serafina.

Yeah. Right. Serafina thought.
She didnt trust cops, and she didnt trust the FBI who just seemed to be fancier versions of cops. She sat in the offeed chair, still clutching her purse on her knees. She looked like she was ready to stand up and walk out at any moment.
She nodded and waited for Avery to continue. Her eyebrow arched and she looked as if she expected to be treated like royalty, although it was all an act to cover how afraid she was...

Avery smiled once again, "We've noticed that people are going missing and they all are linked to your husband or one of his associates. All I am asking is, have you noticed anything out of the ordinary at home?" She wasn't going to bombared her with a thousand questions all at once, it was just rude to do to anyone.
She leaned back in her chair and watched Serafina, occassionally looking at the clock. She definately didn't want to keep the woman here for too long.

"Alright. Do you think it possible that one of your husband's associates have been invovled in a recent murder?" she asked, not naming any names. She was almost certain Serafina would protect her husband but, was going to protect his men was the question.

Avery shot up and grabbed the empty garbage can and held for Serafina. She also pulled her hair out of the way. "Are you alright?" she asked, holding the can close to Serafina. She watched her, making sure she going to be alright.

"How far along are you?" she asked, standing up and walked to the mini fridge that sat in the corner of the room. She opened it and pulled out a bottle of water. She walked over and handed it to Serafina, knowing a cold drink of water helped.
Avery's mind was away from the questions she had planned to ask. She was more concerned with Serafina and her unborn child.

"Thank you." Serafina breath taking the bottle of water. "I'm only a month along."
She smiled up at the woman and sighed. "I never was this sick with my other children, but for some reason my morning sickness has just been awful this time. And it lasts all day. I cant keep anything down..."

Avery smiled and nodded, "Try having twins." She missed her own kids but, she was helping other people which help keep her mind off the fact that she missed so much of their lives already. "Congrats. Hoping for a boy or a girl?" she asked, her mind definitely veering off the main track.
